In 2025 Cowes Town Regatta ran the Start and Finishes from the Royal Yacht Squadron. The Committe were warmly welcomed in the morning by the Royal Yacht Squadrons Commodore. In recognition of Cowes Town Regattas work and historical origins, both the RYS and HMS Tyne Guard Ship were dressed overall. (See Picture above)
A mixture of Black and all White Group (except the Swallow Class) started at the Royal Squadron with a typical South Westerly wind in the 12-15 Knott range for most of the day. The Final start by the X-One Design boats was initially a General recall but after a restart under Z Flag the final start progressed. The Prinicple Race Officer made a bold decision to finish ALL Black and White boats at the Royal Yacht Squadron Line stating we were the only team capable of pulling this off! This proved to be the most spectacular of finishes with sometimes 15 boats, crossing the line in close succession and onlookers treated to the fleet running down the Cowes Green on the Final Day of racing in 2025 (See Pictures below).
The results can be found on the official Cowes Week website and several can be found here on the Class Results page.
The trophy winners can be found in the Virtual Trophy Room on this website.
Preparations are now under way for 2026 as this will be the 200th Anniversary of Cowes week.
