In 2026, Cowes Town Regatta ran the Starts and Finishes from the Royal Yacht Squadron. All White group boats started from this line except the Swallows and XOD's. Wind was slow to arrive, and the first start of the Regatta commenced at 1:30 pm. Several classes were eager to get away, although there were five general recalls during the start sequence, which kept the committee on their toes! A good Westerly wind ensued and a good day's sailing finally happened on the last day of the Bi-Centennial Regatta.
All White group finished on the Royal Squadron Line with the exception of the XODs, which were finished by Committee boat.
This year, nearly 5,000 sailors aboard over 600 boats took to the Solent, watched by tens of thousands of spectators ashore. Together, competitors, families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, clubs, residents and visitors helped to write the next chapter in a remarkable 200-year story.
The title sponsor for 2026 was North Sails and for the first time in several years, the week ended with a spectacular fireworks display, a long-time traditional event that returned after a 6-year hiatus.
The results can be found on the official Cowes Week website, and several can be found here on the Class Results page.
The trophy winners can be found in the Virtual Trophy Room on this website.
Preparations are now under way for 2027.
